WebI updated Windows 10 and when I clicked on restart and update the first thing it showed me after restarting was a black screen with the words "updating your system" and then it went to the blue screen and showed "getting windows ready". Why would it start off with the black screen showing "updating your system" instead of the normal blue screen ... WebJan 6, 2024 · Thanks for your quick reply. Sfc and DISM I did already and everything was fine (since quite a while I run sfc after every windows update ) - and a couple days ago I upgraded both graphic drivers, Intel and NVidia. Maybe (hopefully) the black screen was just a "one time event" anyway, time will tell. I'll post again, when it goes on.
