WebMay 7, 2008 · 1,181 Posts. #20 · May 7, 2008. this past weekend in havasu was my first trip with my plates on and two good props, and the difference is crazy with rolling over. had 4 people and full fuel and no problems with 32 cleavers. mine also help with porpoise most definitely at low speeds, and stays on plane at slower speeds. My new boat is a 19ft. fish/ski w/150HP Evinrude w/ tilt/trim. It also has a Max Force jack plate. I'm not sure how to measure it but I think it's about an 8" jack plate with about a 6" set back.
