WebApr 10, 2024 · In this study, we explore the pollen diet of colonies and individuals of Bombus terrestris under natural field conditions in agricultural landscapes, with a focus on flower constancy and pollen diversity, to increase the understanding of their foraging behaviors and preferences over time in natural settings. WebThe effect of similar colours on reducing foraging accuracy of bees is evident for colour distances high above discrimination threshold, which explains previous field observations showing that bees do not exhibit complete flower constancy unless flower colour between species is distinct.
