Webb1 dec. 2024 · Shannon Creek is a small 20-site campground nestled along the western shore of Baker Lake in the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The Baker Lake area has everything the Pacific Northwest is famous for; glacier-covered mountains, roaring rivers, hiking and old-growth forests. Each campsite is both large and private. WebbThe present Shannon Campground was a thriving town in the 1940’s where mill workers resided with their families. They worked at the Shannon Timber Mill, north of the highway. A whole community The settlement had 90 houses that were built in one double U-shaped row that surrounded a central communal area.
